As registered dietitians (RD), certified dietitian/nutritionists (CDN), and nutrition educators for over 30 years, Jo-Ann Heslin and Annette Natow knew that their readers were more interested in what to order for lunch than understanding how their metabolism worked. As the authors of 28 consumer nutrition books and two college textbooks, they spent their careers translating nutrition science into practical, reliable, easy to understand nutrition advice.

They served as advisors and consultants to business and industry, as founding partners in NRH Nutrition Consultants, Inc. They have served on the editorial boards or Prevention, Vitality, American Baby, Childbirth Education, and Environmental Nutrition Newsletter; and were the editors of the Journal of Nutrition for the Elderly. Jo-Ann Heslin is currently the Food & Nutrition Columnist for HealthNewsDigest.com.
