To answer consumer’s demands for convenient, healthy and simple foods, Minute has introduced Multi-Grain Rice Medley. This quick-cooking product is a blend of brown rice, red rice, wild rice and quinoa. And, those are all the ingredients you will find in the ingredient list.
Multi-Grain Medley comes in four pre-portioned bags. Each makes two (2/3 cup) cooked servings and cooks in 10 minutes. Each serving has 140 calories, 1 gram of fat, 3 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, 65 milligrams of potassium and no sugar or sodium. We used the Multi-Grain Medley as side dish cooked with broth, stir-fried with onions and mushrooms, and plain as the base for other dishes such as chili. The brand promotes Multi-Grain Medley’s versatility suggesting it can be used for both hot and cold recipes and could even be the base for breakfast muesli. Recipes are provided on the back of the package.
We shared some of our samples with a college student and she thought the individual portion packs were very useful and the taste was delicious.
