popchips spelled with a lower case “p” has extended the product line to include stone-ground, corn masa-based, popped tortilla chips. We reviewed the original popchips and noted that our taste-testers enjoyed them. The same can be said for the tortilla chips.
They are available as Salsa, Chili Limon, Ranch, and Nacho Cheese flavors all of which are more full-bodied and zesty than the original popped corn chips. One serving, 1 ounce or 16 chips, is both an adequate portion and generous. For all flavors, 1 serving has 120 calories, 4 grams of fat (no cholesterol or trans fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of polyunsaturated fat and 2.5 grams of monounsaturated fat), 2 grams of protein, and 20 grams of carb (1 of which is sugar and 2 grams of fiber). The nutrition profile is the same except for sodium. Nacho Cheese and Salsa have 190 milligrams of sodium, Ranch 180 milligrams and Chili Limon 135 milligrams. All flavors are certified gluten free and kosher (KOF-K certified).
