A recent study from Temple University, which added a reasonable daily serving of almonds to a weight loss program, not only improved weight loss but had a positive effect on heart disease risk factors. Almonds have a low glycemic index which means they can help to regulate blood sugar levels, too. They are also rich in vitamin E and fiber. Eating a reasonable serving (1 ounce or 23 almonds) daily offers many health benefits.
