We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Alexia Foods known for all-natural, good quality frozen potato side dishes, appetizers and breads has extended its product line to introduce Sweet Potato Puffs.

Most kids love potato puffs and Moms are always trying to swap in healthier choices for items kids love. Sweet Potato Puffs are a great swap for regular potato puffs. Alexis Sweet Potato Puffs have 130 calories for a 2/3 cup (3-ounce) serving, 3.5 grams of fat (with no saturated or trans fat), 0 milligrams of cholesterol, 1 gram of protein, 23 grams of carb, 8 grams of sugar, 2 grams of fiber, 170 milligrams of potassium and 230 milligrams of sodium. The bonus is that the serving provides 70% (3500 IUs) of your daily need for vitamin A. Sweet potatoes, rich in beta-carotene, are an excellent source of vitamin A.

Our tasters thought the Sweet Potato Puffs were delicious and not the least bit greasy. This is a good potato dish for the entire family that heats in the oven in 20 minutes.
