Fast Food Fact: More Fish Equals Better Health

The more fish you eat the healthier you are. This healthy advice comes with a caution because industrial chemicals pollute many of our lakes and rivers, and some of ocean fish contain high levels of mercury. Women of childbearing age and children under 15 should avoid fish caught by amateur fisherman in questionable waters. Everyone should limit their intakes of swordfish, shark, king mackerel and tilefish, to keep levels of mercury low.
