Fast Food Fact: Garlic is Great—but Skip the Pills

A clove or two of garlic a day may keep the doctor away. Garlic has potent antibacterial, antiviral and immune-stimulating properties. Garlic supplements do not offer the same health benefits.

I assume that garlic powder does not offer health benefits since it is like the supplement. What about minced garlic in the jar?

The closer the food is to the original the closer would be the nutrition profile and health benefits. Minced garlic packed in oil will have more calories than fresh garlic minced.
