New in the Market: The Earthbound Cookbook

We enjoy looking at new cookbooks. Some are great and become staples in our kitchen. Others don’t measure up. See what you think.

The Earthbound Cook by Myra Goodman, founder of organic food grower Earthbound Farm, is a kitchen staple that will be used over and over again. The recipes have unique combinations of ingredients, and the book is overflowing with sensible kitchen wisdom, and ideas and tips for living, eating and shopping “green.”

Reading a few pages is like cooking with your grandmother! Goodman is a sensible, eco-friendly cook who has devised 250 interesting recipes, many of which we’ve tagged in the book to try. (Workman Publishing, 2010, ISBN: 978-0-7611-5634-5, $20.95)
